This art was inspired by music. Daughtry, Its Not Over. In the song, the pain of how difficult the relationship is clearly the focal point. And yet, the simple proclamation of "you are the only one" indicates that whatever pain the relationship may bring, the love they share is still makes it all worth it.

Thank you Jessica. Wonderful compliments...I'm glad you feel a draw when you look at her. I was listening to Daughtry, the song "It's Not Over" and the song is so compelling to me. There is a line where he says "this love is killing me, but you're the only one" and it's so emotional. It inspired this work. I work in so many layers that I have to be careful not to make the work too complicated, thank you for appreciating the textures.
